Temple Day

I should have posted these before I posted the wedding pictures, but I missed them. So here they are now. Dan and Gina went through the Provo temple for their endowments on Saturday November 29. It was such a beautiful session and a special day for our family since Dan is the last of our children to go to the temple. We are proud of the decisions he has made that bring him closer to his Heavenly Father. We love you Dan. And Gina, we love you too!

Dan and Gina's Wedding

Dan and Gina tied the knot on December 5 in the Mt Timpanogos temple. It was such a beautiful day and we are thrilled to have gained a new daughter-in-law. Here are a few pictures.

Dan with Charlie's mom, Irene.

My baby!

Two handsome boys!

Patti with her mom, Dorothy.

Our family at the temple.

Dan with his grandma Dorothy.

Their reception was held inside a church house, but it had been completely transformed and was so beautiful. It looked like a picture right out of a christmas book!

Dan with his best man (and friend) Sky.

Everyone was so excited when Dan and Gina emerged from the temple!

The Newlyweds!

Halloween 2008

The grandkids came to our house this year for a Halloween party and to go trick or treating around our neighborhood. We had a good time playing games and the kids got lots of candy :}.

Rental House

After Dan and Gina get married they will be living in one of Grandma Dorothy's rental houses. The tenants that lived their before completely trashed the place and we have had to gut it and start over from scratch. These are the before pictures and some of us doing demolition on rooms.
We ripped out the kitchen cabinets because they were cracked and broken.

The stairway to hell (as Dan called it). We think this went to the porch before they added on the back room, but no one really knows for sure.

Charlie ripping out the bathroom because the wall was rotted from water seeping behind it.

Part of the kitchen floor.

Another picture of the gutted bathroom.

The bathroom before, with huge holes in the tile floor.

Technology Overload

What would we do without cell phones. . .to talk anywhere on. . .

and to text when we are to busy to talk?

I threw this picture in for Gina. . .Enjoy!

Mountain Meadow Massacre

While we were in St George we went and visited the site of the Mountain Meadow Massacre.

St George, UT

Charlie and I took a weekend getaway trip to St George, UT.
We had fun site seeing and just being together.

Gorgeous Views

We feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful state. This is a view from Provo Canyon. I love when the leaves change color and the mountains are ablaze with reds, oranges, and yellows:).

September Birthday Palooza

We got together for our September family dinner and celebrated the rest of the September birthdays. We celebrated Mason's at the August Family dinner, his birthday was at the beginning of September. At this one we celebrated, Grandma's (Patti), Grandpa's (Charlie) and Will's. Will shares the same birthday as Charlie and when he was younger he thought he was delivered in a box to his dad. What a great present he was! Grandpa holding his little baby, Blake.
Looks, A-OK to me!

Welcome Kaitlyn

Our 7th grandchild was born on September 18, 2008. Welcome Kaitlyn Rae Collins to our family. We are excited to have you join our legacy :}.This is a sign for her door that her older sister Kelsey made for her.

Sweet Girl!

Sleeping Soundly!

Sleepover

We love having the grandkids over to spend the night. We order pizza and go to the store and load up on "sleepover" goodies. The kids take turns on the nintendo DS and the computer. This sleepover was extra special because their mom, Rachael, was in the hospital having their sister, Kaitlyn!Cory playing on the computer.

Kelsey's Turn!
